This is an avenue with a canopy of overhanging beech trees, which was created in the 8th century to impress visitors. In recent years, storms have caused many of the trees to be blown down; therefore , there aren’t as many trees left as before. Still , look at this otherworldly atmosphere! I visited this placeon a weekend trip while studying in Britain. Since I was on a group tour, it only allowed me to stay there for five minutes, which was a real regret. Next time I visit, I will absolutely spend some time there taking pictures.
This is Lake Tuz. When I visited Cappadocia, I went a little farther by taxi tosee the lake. Back then , I had very little information about it. The only thing I knew was that the lake was supposed to be like Bolivia’s Uyuni Salt Flats, but in Turkey.When I finally reached there after three hours in the taxi, the pink lake took me by surprise. It was far different from Uyuni Salt Flats. They say that the water is pink because of plankton growth in the salt lake. It wasn’t a scene that I’d expected , but coming across something unexpected was one of the real thrills of the trip. I totally enjoyed the “pink lake” view .
“AgitAgueda” is an art festival held every summer from July to September. One of the attractions is the floating colorful umbrellas in the shopping arcade . Using the power of art, this “umbrella sky” gives shade and protects us from the midsummer sunshine.It is just like a vibrant illustration from a picture book. Every street is adorned withdifferentcolored umbrellas hanging from above , so I had great fun taking a walk. As it’s a small town, one or two hours there will be enough for you to enjoy the whole town, but I stayed overnight because I needed plenty of time totake pictures.
This is the Loisaba Hotel ? the hotel I’d always dreamed of staying at. It’s an hour’s light plane ride from the capital, Nairobi. It’s located in the Kenyan savanna. You’re not going to believe the room called the “Star Bed.” What you see in this picture is all of the Star Bed! It’s a wall- less , roof- less , amazing space. During the day you can enjoy watching wild animals roaming from your bed, and at night you can enjoy gazing at all the beautiful stars above you. The hotel charge wasn’t really affordable for me, but I was glad I made the big decisionto splurge!
I visited Chiang Mai tosee the floating lanterns called “khom loi” in Thailand, but I found there were many more places tosee in northern Thailand! I came across this Buddhist temple in an Instagram post and decidedto visit there. It’s a temple with a long history and is said to have been built for the king of Haripunchai tooffer Buddha’s hair.When I visited Chiang Mai, they were celebrating Loi Krathong, so there were thousands of colorful lanterns in the courtyard of the temple! They looked spectacular in the twilight .
