I’m from (1)Ethiopia. Ethiopia is located in Eastern Africa. It is a very traditional country. We (have) never been (2)colonized. (3)Italy tried to (4)occupy Ethiopia, but with five years of our (5)forefathers fighting they (6)expelled It?Italy. So , we are proud to be a free country. The (7)historical sites in Ethiopia are mostly related to (8) Christianity . There are churches (9)carved out of single stones. Uh, (e)specially (10)Lalibela, which is ? (in) the northern part of Ethiopia ? is a tourist (11)attraction in Ethiopia. And we have also (12)Aksum, the kingdom, the oldest kingdom in Ethiopia, whichalso has lots of churches around there. There are lots of tribes, maybe around 86 languages spoken in Ethiopia. The official language is called (13)Amharic ? that’s the only language I know from my country. That’s also , um, the working language of the government.
I do enjoy soccer. I like to play soccer with my kids. And that isactually my hobby. Uh, I also like politics. I watch, um, (14)cable news a lot. And, um, so I spend my weekends mostly attending my kids’, uh, soccer tournaments, training. And also , every Sunday morning, I go to (an) Ethiopian (15) orthodox church in the town.
I went to Japan in, uh, 2009, I believe, for , uh, (16) administration training, to a company I work for . I was actually only in Tokyo. I like Tokyo. Since I lived in (17)New York for some time, it reminded me of New York, Tokyo being a little cleaner than New York. Uh, what I was surprised about (in) Tokyo was that most people do speak Japanese only, and I was having difficulty finding people who I could communicate ( with ) in English, even (18)cab drivers. Uh, I (19) assume cab drivers need to know different language(s), especially English ? being, um, (an) international language ? but, uh, this is (an) opportunity I wanna say I was surprised.
